ARE YOU READY TO PROTEST CONCEALED CARRY RECIPROCITY? AND STAND UP FOR GUN SAFETY!

  • Did you know that a bill is now working its way through the House of Representatives that would make it legal for anyone with a concealed carry permit from any state to carry a concealed gun here in New Jersey, even if that person would never be granted a concealed carry permit here?
  • Did you know that Representative Scott Garrett has previously voted in favor of a federal concealed carry reciprocity bill and that, to date, his office is not releasing information about his position on the current bill?
  • Did you know that people who have concealed carry permits are far more likely to hurt themselves or others, or be hurt by criminals than they are to protect themselves or others with their concealed firearm?
  • Did you know that current legislation makes it virtually impossible to gather statistics on the prevalence of problems with concealed carry firearms?
  • You should know that The Bergen County Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence, with the support of the Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County and the National Council of Jewish Women Bergen County Section, is forming a group to protest Representative Scott Garrett’s perceived position on the federal Concealed Carry Reciprocity Bill.

Join us for our first meeting
Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County
687 Larch Avenue
Teaneck, NJ 07666
on Tuesday, May 19th at 7:30 PM.

There is no charge for the meeting and all like-minded citizens are welcome.
Bring your friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues.

Share your concerns and help strategize a protest campaign to convince Scott Garrett to put the safety of New Jersey’s citizens above the irresponsible policies of the National Rifle Association.

For further information and to be kept apprised of our plans, email me to join our group, and partner with us in this endeavor.

Sincerely,
Carole Benson, Chair
NCJW BCS Gun Violence Prevention Committee
