Jewish Harlem Trip
9:00 a.m. Bus leaves from Temple Emeth, Teaneck Council is repeating this trip because the responses of those who went in September were so positive. Marty Shore, who guided the last Jewish Harlem tour, will be with us again and we will have lunch at Miss Maude’s Spoonbread Too Restaurant again. As we learned during the last visit, in the early 1900’s Harlem was the third largest Jewish community in the world. In the ensuing decades the Jews moved out and were replaced by other ethnic groups. Nevertheless, sites attesting to that Jewish presence still endure and we will tour them. Please note that this is a walking tour. Comfortable walking footwear is advised as is water if the weather is warm. .
**$65 includes tour and lunch (sorry no refunds) Make checks payable to NCJW – BCS. $70 non-members, if space is available Send check to Hennie Ostrower 280 Prospect Ave, 11N Hackensack, N.J. 07601 (Please include your phone number and email address).
