National Council of Jewish Women Bergen County High School Scholarship Awards
National Council of Jewish Women Bergen County Section (NCJBCS) is pleased to announce the section will be awarding three $1000.00 scholarships to young Jewish women selected from applicants attending high schools in Bergen County. The successful applicants must have been accepted by a four year college, have financial need, have high academic standing in high school, and be active in both school activities and community service.
Application forms will be forwarded to the high school guidance departments in early February. The NCJWBCS Scholarship Committee will interview applicants in April and will present awards in May. More information will be available in February.
Jewish Education Scholarship
Students majoring in a Jewish educational program now have an opportunity to secure financial aid from National Council of Jewish Women, Bergen County Section.Inspired by Jewish values, NCJWBCS is a grassroots volunteer organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action through advocacy, education and community service. Because of our strong commitment to children and quality education, the Bergen County Section is offering scholarships for students majoring in a Jewish educational program.
The applicant must be a college or graduate level student, reside or work in Bergen County, New Jersey, and be available for a personal interview after May 15, 2009. Awards are based on financial need, scholarship, and commitment. The scholarship can be used only at an institution in the United States.
