The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

A Faith in the Future. A Belief in Action.

HAPPINESS IS THE HIPPY HOLIDAY PARTY

On December 18, a happy group of NCJW BCS volunteers shared the joy and fun of the holiday season with the HIPPY children, the boys and girls of Bergen Family Center, and their families.

Our volunteers, who were guests of Bergen Family Center, were thanked by the staff for our ongoing assistance.  During the next home visits, instructors will distribute the gifts which our members so generously donated to the students.

Scott Reddin, Bergen Family Center board member, provided the music, and the children wiggled and giggled all evening as their parents looked on. Everyone had a blast!

HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) helps parents to develop the skills and confidence to become their children’s first teachers.
