LUNCH AND LEARN:  REDEFINING THE JEWISH ADVOCACY AGENDA: CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN AN ERA OF CHANGE – TUESDAY, MARCH 28

Thinking about the role of women in the recent political situation? Come join us on Tuesday, March 28th at 12 noon at Temple Emeth in Teaneck, N.J.  for our annual Lunch and Learn event. This year, the NCJW study group is pleased to have presenter Lori Fein, Director of the Jewish Community Relations Committee of the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey.  Lori has thirty years of experience in political and Jewish activism. In her role at JCRC, she directs Federation’s government relations, intergroup relations, and Israel advocacy efforts which annually engage hundreds of volunteers and community partners. A magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College and honors graduate of Columbia Law School, Ms. Fein practiced law in NY and DC before returning to NJ and beginning a second career in Jewish communal service.

Ms. Fein will talk about how, in this moment of turbulence, Jewish women can help define a role for themselves and their daughters to unify our communities against bias and hatred, advocate for a just society, and strengthen Israel in the face of new threats here and abroad.

To reserve your spot for lunch and presentation:  $18 members, $23 non-members. Please make out your check to NCJW BCS and send to Marilynn Friedman, 49 Buff Road, Tenafly, N.J.  07670 no later than    March 18.  For more information contact Marilynn at 201-568-0145 or marisfried@aol.com.
