MOVING IMAGE & NOGUCHI TRIP

TRIP: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2015

Museum of the Moving Image and the Noguchi Museum

We will start the day at the Museum of the Moving Image in its multi-million dollar, newly-renovated facility.  A docent-led 90-minute tour of its core exhibition, “Behind the Screen,” is a one-of-a-kind experience that immerses visitors in the creative and technical process of making, promoting and presenting films, television and other forms of digital entertainment.

We will then enjoy a multi-course luncheon at one of the Greek restaurants for which Astoria is so famous, MP Taverna.

Because we don’t want to miss out on another of Queens’ treasures, we will go a short distance to the Noguchi Museumalso newly-renovated, to experience a tour of the renowned sculptor’s works.
