The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

A Faith in the Future. A Belief in Action.

NCJW BCS Donates to Women’s Rights Information Center

WRIC chairs Ellie Lubin and Ina Miller-Silverstein presented a check to Joan Grzenda, Executive Director of Women’s Rights Information Center. WRIC assists parents and others in finding compatible housemates, matching those who are looking for housing and those who are looking to share their house or apartment. Shared Housing helps reduce the homeowner’s financial burden. Other benefits include sharing of household tasks, childcare and companionship. This year 98 families, of which 96 were low income, utilized this program.

WRIC is one of the many community programs that NCJW BCS supports by providing volunteers, financial assistance and advocacy as it works to improve the quality of life for women, children, and families.
