NCJW BCS Holocaust Remembrance

At our April General Meeting, NCJW Life Member Lisl Malkin spoke graphically and movingly about her personal sufferings as a Holocaust survivor and victim of Nazism in 1930’s Austria and Czechoslovakia, including at age 13 a three-week interrogation by the Gestapo. She affirmed that these terrible experiences have not left bitterness in her heart but hope for the future and the importance of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights.

Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) 2016 begins in the evening of Wednesday, May 4 and ends in the evening of Thursday, May 5.
