NCJW BCS HONORS GRADUATING SENIORS

At its recent board retreat, National Council of Jewish Women Bergen County Section awarded $1,000 college scholarships to eight outstanding graduating seniors. In addition to their high academic achievements, these young women demonstrated significant leadership skills, creativity and commitment to extracurricular activities in school and in their communities. The wide range of their interests is particularly reflective of how far women have come in recent years.

The winners of the Marjorie G. Aerenson Memorial Scholarship are Juliann Barbella from Teaneck (Bergen County Academies) and Lindsay Ellen Pressman from Franklin Lakes (Ramapo High School). Juliann plans to pursue engineering, computer science and art at the University of Pennsylvania and Lindsay will attend the University of Connecticut and plans to major in animal sciences.
