Thursday, November 21: Oscar White, Photographer to the White House

Our speaker was Oscar White, a retired White House portrait photographer. While showing a rapt audience of about 40 members a vast selection of his portraits, he regaled us with fascinating background stories, anecdotes and insights about many of his famous clients, including Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, President Harry S. Truman, Joyce Carol Oates, Edward Hopper, J.C. Penney, Max Von Sydow, Rube Goldberg, President Lyndon Baines Johnson, Madonna.
