TRIP TO SEE EXHIBIT OF “SCULPTURE IN THE AGE OF DONATELLO” – THURSDAY, APRIL 23, 2015

SOLD OUT!

Donatello_1

New York City’s Museum of Biblical Art has been chosen by the  Duomo Museum in Florence  to  exclusively exhibit twenty-three of its  masterpiece sculptures  .   These treasures have never before been seen in America and rarely ever outside Italy.  It is unlikely they will travel again in our lifetime and will only be viewed if we make the trip to Florence.  Included among others of Donatello’s works are life-size “Lo Zuccone” and “Sacrifice of Isaac.”  The show will also feature Renaissance masterpieces by his contemporaries Nanni di Banco, Lucia della Robbia and Brunelleschi.  Our visit will be guided by a museum docent.  This show promises to become a New York “hot ticket” event with limited ticket availability.  We feel privileged to have been able to reserve this trip.

Continuing our Italian voyage, we will enjoy a full-course lunch at Justin’s Ristorante in Wood-Ridge.

REGISTRATION:  Members send check for $60.00, payable to NCJW  BCS with your email address, home and cell phone numbers to Hennie Ostrower,  280 Prospect Ave. – 11N, Hackensack, NJ 07601.  Non-members will only be accommodated (at $70.00) if trip is not filled.  BUS LEAVES TEMPLE EMETH IN TEANECK AT 9:15 A.M.
