NCJW Endorses Women’s March and is Mobilizing Jewish Women’s Support

Dear NCJW Leaders:

After much thoughtful deliberation, NCJW is pleased to announce our support for the Women’s March on Washington. We are working with the organizers to ensure a substantive and inclusive event on January 21 in Washington, DC that is aligned with the values and principles of NCJW. In addition, NCJW is helping to organize ancillary events on Friday and Saturday with our Jewish community partners as well as a day of action with Planned Parenthood Sunday, January 22.

If you are already planning on being in DC, we look forward to marching with you. If you haven’t yet decided, we encourage you to come to Washington, DC for the march on January 21 or to join local marches in your cities and states. In either case, please let us know that we can count on you to make your voices heard concerning the future of women’s rights in the United States by completing this short form.

While we recognize the march takes place on a Saturday and understand that Shabbat observance may preclude some from participating on the 21st, we made the difficult decision that our Jewish voices needed to be included in this multi-faith, multi-ethnic event. We will be sharing additional information soon about a meeting place in DC so we can march together as Jewish women who care about the issues impacting women, families, and children as a new Administration and Congress convene in DC.

We look forward to seeing you in DC. Details to follow soon.

Warm regards,
Nancy K. Kaufman, CEO
