Alexa Schwartz (Mahwah High School) received the National Council of Jewish Women Bergen County Scholarship and plans to study Business in the honors program at Indiana State University. Jenna A. Abrams (Bergen County Technical School at Teterboro) received the Phyllis and Bruce Palley College Scholarship and will attend North Carolina State University to study Animal Science in a pre-Vet program.
Sara Brandon (Westwood Regional High School) received the Bach-Fuld Scholarship and will be at Bowling Green State University where she will explore Forensic Science, Engineering, and American Sign Language. Bella Carbone (Academies at Englewood - Law and Public Safety Academy) was awarded the Marilyn Taffet Memorial Scholarship and will matriculate at Northeastern University and take courses in Law and Political Science.
Sophie Clarke (Northern Valley High School at Old Tappan) was awarded the Podorefsky College Scholarship and will study Biomedical Engineering. She is undecided about which college she will attend.
Robin Falkow (Ramsey High School) received the Wolfeiler-Simon Scholarship and will explore Political Science and Communications at Elon University.
Rebecca Parish (Tenafly High School) was honored with the Kabakow Family Fund Scholarship and will be going to Cornell University to study History and International Relations.
Danielle Gootman (Ramapo High School) and Neli Elhadad (Teaneck High School) each received a Marjorie G. Aerenson Memorial Scholarship. Danielle is going to the University of Tampa to concentrate on Marketing and Finance and Neli will be at Rutgers to study Biology and Chemistry as preparation for a career in the medical field.
The Scholarship Committee Co-Chairs were Evalyn Brownstein and Nan Matlick assisted by committee members Grace Fuld, Peggy Kabakow, Phyllis Goodman-Kaplan, Bea Podorefsky, Henrietta Wolfeiler, and Co President Bari-Lynne Schwartz.
