The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

A Faith in the Future. A Belief in Action.

KICK – STEP – KICK – TAP – STOMP – SWING

The Syncopated Seniors danced their way into the hearts of the Bergen Family Center Senior Shining Lights on Friday, August 22.  In between their routines, Ms. London, who organized the dancers, entertained the local seniors with jokes.   This talented group of dancers, who delighted the women and men, meets three times a week to practice with a former Rockette who choreographs the routines.  NCJW BCS volunteers visit the Shining Lights group twice a month – once to provide special entertainment like the Syncopated Seniors and once to hold a party for all who are celebrating a birthday. Members who attended were:  Erika Reis, Phyllis Schriger, Nan Matlick, Grace Fuld, Celia Argintar, Marlene Furer, Roxanne Reff and Roz Halper.
