NCJW BCS Honors Ruth Cowan

Ruth-Cowans-Farewell-Luncheon
At the October 8 Board meeting, Bergen County Section board members honored Ruth Cowan, section member for almost 60 years, as we bid her goodbye and good luck in her new home in Dallas, TX. Ruth, a former section president, founder of our former Post-Mastectomy Program and our current Swim-In program, is the consummate volunteer, sharing her skill and training as a physical therapist in both of these services . More recently Ruth was chosen to be our Honorary President, a post she will hold until June 2014. After the Board meeting, 26 of her section friends took her to lunch at the Classic Quiche in Teaneck. Our loss is Dallas’ gain. We all wish Ruth (and Wally) a wonderful life in Big “D.” Ruth Cowan receiving award
