NCJW BCS RAFFLE 1st  PRIZE A WINNER!

We buy raffle books and raffle tickets for the NCJW BCS annual spring luncheon raffle hoping we’ll win something but knowing that if we don’t, it’s okay — we are supporting a wonderful organization.

Well!  Henrietta Wolfeiler won the grand prize at last June’s luncheon.  The prize was dinner at Joan Ornstein’s home in Alpine prepared by her sister Lynn Manheim, a retired chef.  Several of Henrietta’s friends were invited to join her, and they all felt as if they had won the first prize.  Hors d’oeuvres, salad, short ribs with a hint of hoisin sauce, mashed parsnips and potatoes, green beans — and the piece de resistance:  apple pie and chocolate cake to die for.  Do they look like they each put on 10 lbs?

The moral to the story:  when you get next year’s raffle books, BUY one — or two.  You may be the lucky winner of this or one of our other fabulous prizes.
