The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

A Faith in the Future. A Belief in Action.

CENTER FOR FOOD ACTION DINNER

These NCJW BCS members enjoyed a great night at the annual Center for Food Action “Savor” dinner.  The Center is one of our longest affiliations.  In addition to volunteers and a yearly grant to this essential agency which helps to feed the hungry in Bergen County, we “pass the basket” at our general meetings to support their Snack Pack program, which provides healthy snacks through schools to children who receive free breakfasts and lunches during the week but may go hungry on weekends.
