Tuesday, June 18, 2019

Bus departs Temple Emeth, 1666 Windsor Road, Teaneck at 9:00 AM sharp.

Please arrive by 8:45 AM. Bus will return by 5 PM.

Our trip will begin with a guided tour of the historic Congregation Ahavas Sholom, Newark’s oldest operating synagogue and the last remaining synagogue born from the Great Migration at the turn of the 20th century. We will proceed to Casa Vasca, a Spanish restaurant, for a three course, family-style lunch. The menu will include three appetizers, three main dishes (veal, chicken and fish) served with potatoes and rice, sangria and soda, a choice of desserts, and coffee, tea or cappuccino.

Our next stop will be to the newly opened Grammy Museum at the Prudential Center for a docent-led tour of “Whitney!”  The exhibit features Whitney Houston’s remarkable life, rare photographs and footage from the family’s private collection, costumes and much more.   There will be time to explore other exhibits on your own or view a film.  Please note the activity level for this trip is moderate.

Registration and payment must be received by Friday, May 24th. Registration will be acknowledged by email only.

Refunds will be honored if there is a waiting list. Cost $78.00 for members. $88.00 for non-members.
