GOVERNOR MURPHY’S PRESS CONFERENCE ON GUN VIOLENCE

NCJW BCS members attended Governor Murphy’s press conference on gun violence on May 8.  The Governor released the GUNstat report which shows that more than two-thirds of the guns used in crimes during the first quarter of 2018 came into New Jersey from other states.

Roz Altman, NCJW BCS and Brady Chapter member, said, “The emotional speech made by Fred Guttenberg, father of Jamie, one of the slain teenagers from Parkland, set the tone for Governor Murphy’s address on Gun Violence.  The fight against the NRA and gun violence will not stop with the commitment, energy and focus of all the engaged groups of people ranging from the students to organizations such as Moms Demand Action, Brady Campaign, NCJW BCS and our committed leaders.  Now there is hope for change!”
