GRATEFUL MESSAGE DELIVERED AT BERGEN COUNTY SECTION ZOOM BOARD MEETING, APRIL 14, 2020

Thank you Bari-Lynne for recognizing me from the virtual floor. My name is Carole Benson.

Unaccustomed as I am to public speaking, I would like to take this opportunity to give a shout-out to some amazing women whom we all know and love.

Please hold your applause while I thank them for being our dedicated, hard-working, energetic, creative, powerful, caring, fearless, courageous and all-round wonderful leaders who have kept us active, informed, inspired, entertained and involved at this unprecedentedly challenging time in our planet’s history, while coping with their own personal life challenges.

In alphabetical order:   Bari-Lynne Schwartz, Elizabeth Halverstam and Ruth Seitelman, together with their fabulous, hard-working and talented Executive committee, they have kept us busy and away from the booze during these trying times.

I want to hear everybody’s applause, whistles and yells — as loud as you like. Be upstanding (virtually) and raise a (virtual) glass for a (virtual) toast to our amazing Co-Presidents, Bari-Lynne, Elizabeth & Ruth.
