“HAIL, HAIL, THE GANG’S ALL HERE”

Tuesday, October 16th, 148 members attended a festive event that celebrated our members and paid tribute to our Section’s extraordinary record of advocacy and community service.

We also inaugurated two new awards: Colleagues for Life and the Pacesetter. Colleagues for Life honors long-standing members for their ongoing service and devotion.  Gloria Ansh, Natalie Landau and Pearl Sorkow were our first recipients. The Pacesetter Award was bestowed upon Bari-Lynne Schwartz for quickly becoming an outstanding leader and role model. Mazel tov to you all!

We gave a warm welcome to the many new members who attended and hope they are inspired to come to our events and become active.

The afternoon’s entertainment featured the talented dance duo, Thomas and Frantsiska Papkala, of the Arthur Murray Dance Center in Tenafly.  Our Section was treated to a “trip down memory lane,” with a delightful exhibition of ballroom dance – at its best!

We celebrated the beginning of our 96th year with an afternoon filled with friends and fun – and a promise to continue to “turn progressive ideals into action!”
