Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

A Faith in the Future. A Belief in Action.

NCJW BCS HONORS RBG

In honor and memory of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, NCJW Bergen County Section celebrated her life at the Bergen County Courthouse on October 2 by circling the courthouse and then taking a ritual lap around the building. Members read a yiskor prayer and Maya Angelou’s Phenomenal Woman poem.  NCJW BC members also memorialized Justice Ginsburg by circling Constitution Park in Fort Lee, NJ and the Eldredge Library in Chatham, Massachusetts.

Justice Ginsburg spent her life fighting for reproductive justice, LGBTQ protections and voting rights to improve the lives of women, children and families, and now we take the torch she passed on to us as we fight for justice.  Take action with our National organization NCJW.org and CourtsMatter.org.
