The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

QUEEN(S) FOR A DAY

Please join us Thursday, November 16, 2017. Bus departs Temple Emeth, 9:30 am sharp. Please arrive by 9:15 am. Returns Temple Emeth around 5 pm. Cost: $90 for members; $100 for non-members (if space permits.) Included are two guided tours.

  • Museum of the Moving Image. Experience the brand new interactive Jim Henson Exhibition. Explore his groundbreaking work for film and television and his transformative impact on culture. View nearly 300 objects including 47 puppets.
  • MoMA PS1, the contemporary arm of the Museum of Modern Art. View two new exhibits: CaroleeSchneeman: Kinetic Painting, art focused on subjectivity, social views of the female body and the sexual and cultural biases of art history; and Cathy Wilkes, sculptural installations inspired by the personal and universal aspects of domestic life.
  • Lunch at Monika’s Café Includes guacamole and chips, Greek salad, cup of soup, ½ sandwich or wrap, a cookie platter, and beverage.
