ROCKLEIGH SWEETHEART SOCIAL A HUGE SUCCESS

A good time was had by all at NCJW’s annual “SWEETHEART SOCIAL” at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh on Valentine’s Day. It couldn’t have happened without the help of Roberta Lew, Bea Tendler, Joan Schnuer, Phyllis Becker, Gwen Dubno, Gloria Lieberstein, Pat Hoffman, Nan Matlick & Marilynn Friedman.

Peter Pix, a talented guitarist & singer, entertained a roomful of over 60 residents with music and songs. We sang, danced and chatted with the residents and topped off a fun afternoon by giving each a red or pink carnation to brighten up their room.

The afternoon was capped off with festive cupcakes and drinks adding to everyone’s enjoyment. Our nine NCJW BCS volunteers went home knowing that they had helped bring cheer and some happy moments to all.

“We cannot thank the NCJW BCS ladies enough for the wonderful Sweethearts’ Social on February 14th!  Everyone enjoyed the interactions with the ladies, the entertainment, beautiful flowers, nice smiles and your love for the residents!  You made our day so very special!” from Tracey and Marina, Jewish Home at Rockleigh.

It makes us realize how taking a bit of time from our busy day makes such a difference to those whose lives are not as full.

To all of the NCJW BCS members who take the time to make a difference you are truly “sweethearts.”
