Kenneth Jacobson, Deputy National Director of the Anti-Defamation League, will be the speaker for our opening General Meeting which will be held on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 at 12:30 PM at Temple Emeth, 1666 Windsor Road, Teaneck.

Mr. Jacobson is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the formulation and implementation of ADL policy. Previously he served as Senior Associate National Director responsible for supervision and overall strategy for International Affairs and Interfaith Affairs as well as the senior advisor on issues of both domestic and international ADL positions and statements.

As the Director of International Affairs, he analyzed and monitored events affecting Jews in the Middle East, Europe and Latin America.  In addition, he oversaw the ADL Jerusalem Office which assesses first-hand issues surrounding the Arab-Israeli conflict as well as the League’s presence in Vienna and Moscow.

Mr. Jacobson is the author of numerous publications including articles in The Washington Post, The New York Times and Newsday. He joined the ADL staff in 1972 and was appointed Director of Middle Eastern Affairs in 1979.  In 1990 he was appointed Director of International Affairs,

A graduate of Yeshiva University, Mr. Jacobson holds a Master’s Degree in American History from Columbia University.  He will speak on the very timely topic of anti-Semitism in the world today.
