SNACK PACKS FOR CENTER FOR FOOD ACTION

TUESDAY, JANUARY 16, TEMPLE EMETH  12:30 PM

We are going to make weekends happier for some kids!  Join us at our January 16, 2018, general meeting when we will prepare 1,000 child-friendly healthy snack bags to be distributed by the Center for Food Action to kids in 8 local elementary schools. The contents of the packs are shown here. Many children who receive free or reduced-price school meals are hungry on weekends. Teachers discreetly place the packs into the students’ backpacks when they are out of the classrooms. The Weekend Snack Packs are part of an effort to reduce childhood hunger in our neighborhoods. This year, CFA will distribute 3,000 snack packs.  There is no charge for the meeting, and guests are welcome.
