WE’RE GOING TO THE DOGS (AND THE MORRIS COUNTY MUSEUM)

Please join us on Thursday, May 2nd for a trip to Morristown.
The bus will depart Temple Emeth at 8:30AM sharp. Please arrive by 8:15AM. The bus will return by 5PM.

In the morning we will visit The Seeing Eye Guide Dog School. The program will include a presentation by an instructor with a Seeing Eye dog and a question and answer session with a Seeing Eye graduate.

We will then proceed to the Morris County Museum where we will enjoy a catered lunch which will include an assortment of sandwiches, salads, gourmet cookies and soft drinks. Our demonstration/browse tour of the exhibit,  “Musical Machines and Living Dolls: Mechanical Musical Instruments and Automata from the Murtogh D Guiness Collection,” will follow lunch. This interactive exhibit which features more than 150 pieces, one of the largest collections in the world, takes visitors on a journey through the history of on-demand musical entertainment.

For further information about this fascinating exhibit, Google, “Before There Were Robots, There WereAutomata,” an article by Jim Beckerman that appeared in the Record on November 20, 2018. There will be time to explore other exhibits on your own.

Registration and payment must be received by Friday, April 5th.Registration will be acknowledged by email only. Refunds will be honored if there is a waiting list. Snacks on the bus will be provided, but not water. Cost will be $67.00 for members and $77.00 for non-members (if space permits).
