WOODY GUTHRIE AND HIS JEWISH CONNECTION

Nora Guthrie presented “Holy Ground” at our November General Meeting.

The speaker, daughter of Woody Guthrie, iconic folk music composer/ singer gave a presentation that included photos, music excerpts, writing and artwork that illustrated the creative collaboration between Woody Guthrie and his Jewish mother-in-law, esteemed Yiddish poet, Aliza Greenblatt.  The presentation to a packed house was well-received.
